To be proportionate to the existing skills & experience of the architect
For example those newly qualified will need more training than those who have been longer in the profession whose training needs are more a case of keeping abreast of changing legislation & new products.
Must also take account of very experienced architects who are nearing retirement & wish to work part time and if they restrict themselves to working in certain sectors in which they have proved their competence they should require only minimal training
